NOTE: For those who qualify, bed & breakfast is provided free of charge at our facility during treatment. Given the nature of addictions, the NAD Treatment is not a substitute for recovery – however, it is the beginning of the process of healing. Once the brain is restored to optimal function, the patient has the clarity of mind to engage in the recovery process with the ability to stop compulsive behaviors and make mindful choices that are self-supportive rather than self-destructive.
The NAD treatment is effective across a broad range of addictive substances, including alcohol, opiates, stimulants and even combinations of these drugs. Side effects of NAD are mild and may include muscular aches, gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, and nasal stuffiness. These can be controlled by moderating the rate of infusion, and all side effects disappear when the IV-delivery is slowed or when the IV is removed at the end of the day’s treatment. No long-term side effects have been observed or reported.
The program includes individual, family and group therapy. Patients commit to follow-up care with emphasis on psychological, social and spiritual healing. The underlying psychological issues that often lead to substance abuse must be resolved for true recovery. We highly recommend a structured aftercare program of continued counseling, NAD supplementation, a healthy diet and exercise regimen, and deepening and practicing one’s spiritual faith.
